About this property

Nestled in the woods of east Texas on 31 acres, this barndo-cabin is perfect for anyone just wanting to experience the peace & spirit of the piney woods. This cabin is lined with fresh pine wood ceilings & walls we harvested right here from the local woods. The kitchen is equipped with 2 burner stove, microwave, fridge & marble countertops. Vinyl & queen bed upstairs is super comfy. The sleeper sofa has an upgraded mattress. YOU HAVE ENTIRE PROEPRTY TO YOURSELF!!! NO POSSIBILITY OF NEIGHBOR. The space You are going to get to enjoy 31 acres of heavily wooded forest with trails throughout. Each cabin has 360 sf of living space and a 400+ sf deck. Each cabin has its own water closet and your shower is in the middle of both cabins. Guest access You will enter driveway directly from US Hwy 69. There are pine tree posts flanking the driveway. Please turn in and enjoy the wooded and curvy drive to the owners house and then past the house and to the left of the solar array you will pick up the driveway path to your retreat. Do not drive beyond the orange cones please. Access codes for Eagle 1 and Eagle 2 will be provided after your booking. Other things to note You are welcome to bring your boats and additional camping equipment. There is ABSOLUTELY NO FIREARM USE WHILE ON PROPERTY. Owner has chickens and you are welcome to interact with them while they are out foraging during the day. Please DO NOT ENTER THE BARN AREA.

David is a very responsive host. Any question we had about the property he answered it quickly and effectively. That made us much more comfortable in this new space. Having a good space is one thing, but having the host be extremely attentive and kind is another. We'd stay at David's other properties as well if the opportunity arose. Also, the space felt extremely private. No outside noise unless we wanted it, perfect for a getaway.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay. It was wonderful to be able to bring the dogs and let them explore the property. David was a great host who communicated clearly throughout our stay. The cabin was quiet, peaceful, and exactly what we were looking for. We’d happily stay here again.

Wish I wouldn’t have planned a whole day out at lake fork instead of really enjoying the space. David communicated super clearly and I had no issue finding his driveway with his instructions. Trees are marked all the way to the back. Arrived night one and lit a bonfire. He left matches and lighter fluid since I asked about firewood before arriving. Super thoughtful! So peaceful and quiet. Loved seeing all the quirks of the home like the hidden stairs to the upstairs bedroom. He gave recommendations for things to do in town but I already had an itinerary. The only thing listed that wasn’t there was shampoo and body soap. I’m sure if I would have asked they would have had some but I didn’t want to be a bother so I improvised with the hand soap from inside. I usually bring some with me but didn’t this time. Check out instructions super clear! Will definitely book again when I need some quiet from the city!
